What Monitor Audio’s Latest Launches Mean for Your Home
Monitor Audio has been making speakers in Essex since 1972. They’re one of our most trusted partners and their products are at the centre of our own showroom installation in Wickford. So when they launch something new, we pay close attention and this month they’ve launched two things worth talking about.

The Radius Series 4G: Proper Hi-Fi for Real Rooms

The new Radius Series 4G launched on 15 June 2026, and it’s a significant update to one of Monitor Audio’s most popular compact ranges. Three models make up the lineup: the Radius 1, the Radius 3, and the Radius On-Wall. All three share the same design philosophy, genuine hi-fi performance from speakers that are small enough, and considered enough in their design, to live comfortably in a modern home.

At the heart of each speaker is Monitor Audio’s C-CAM driver technology, a ceramic-coated aluminium and magnesium cone that is lighter and more rigid than conventional materials, delivering clarity and detail that compact speakers often struggle to achieve. The result is a speaker that doesn’t ask you to compromise on sound in order to keep things discreet.

What makes the Radius 4G particularly useful for our clients is its flexibility. The range works equally well as a stereo pair in a smaller room, as surround speakers in a cinema setup where space or aesthetics make larger speakers impractical, or as part of a whole-home audio system. The Radius On-Wall is designed specifically for wall-mounted installations, making it a natural choice for rooms where floor or shelf space simply isn’t available.

UK pricing starts from £425 per pair for the Radius 1, £575 per pair for the Radius 3, and £450 per speaker for the Radius On-Wall. Both gloss black and satin white finishes are available.

If you’ve been thinking about adding audio to a room but assumed you’d need large, conspicuous speakers to get a result worth having, this range is worth a closer look. We can demonstrate it. Get in touch and we’ll arrange a listen.

The CL2 M Wins the Red Dot Award And What That Means for Outdoor Audio

The second development this month is a recognition rather than a launch. Monitor Audio’s Climate Series CL2 M outdoor speaker was awarded the Red Dot Award for product design, with the team collecting the award in Essen on 9 July 2026.

The Red Dot is one of the most respected design accolades in the world, assessed by an independent jury of designers, academics and industry experts. Winning it is not straightforward, and it’s not just about how a product looks. The CL2 M was recognised for its combination of discreet, considered design and the engineering required to deliver genuine hi-fi performance in outdoor and all-weather environments.

The practical significance for homeowners is this: outdoor audio has historically been a compromise. Weatherproof speakers have tended to sacrifice sound quality in order to meet the demands of outdoor installation. The Climate Series was designed to eliminate that compromise, and the Red Dot recognition confirms that Monitor Audio have done exactly that.

If your garden, terrace, or outdoor entertaining space is somewhere you spend meaningful time, and you’d like it to sound as considered as the rest of your home, the CL2 M is a product worth understanding. We install and configure the Climate Series as part of our outdoor AV offering, and we’d be happy to talk through what’s possible for your specific space.
