Overview
The client wanted to convert his games room that wasn’t really used by the family into a home cinema for both movies and sporting events. We attended, measured and put together a proposal and design. The main objective was to seat as many people as possible whilst still maintaining a spacious feel. The room is for entertaining as well as movies so a bar would be great as well.

The Cinema design was based on a 5 2 2 Dolby atmos speaker package. Using an anamorphic acoustically transparent screen by Screen Excellence with a Sony VPL-760 4K Laser projector for an amazing visual experience.
The front three MK 950 Loudspeakers were placed behind the screen, along with two 15″ MK CS15 Passive subwoofers. The room’s odd shape made surround speaker placement challenging. We opted for MK Tripole surround speakers placed midway between the seating rows with diffuser panels concealed behind fabric walling on the rear wall to help diffuse the surround audio and make the audio experience more immersive for both rows. The Atmos height speakers were concealed behind the acoustic ceiling panels and worked well with the coffer ceiling lighting.
The previously unused space at the back of the room we turned into a Bar which housed not only the alcohol but all the cinema equipment.
